Autumn Spiced Bliss Balls

These little bites of goodness are the perfect healthy snack for Autumn. As always, feel free to play around with the ingredients; here is my favourite version of this recipe:



Ingredients:

Ingredients for Autumn-Spiced Bliss balls

  • 140g (1 cup) nuts of choice

  • 140g (1 cup) sunflower or hemp seeds

  • Pinch salt

  • 70g (1 cup) shredded coconut

  • 1tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 120g (1 cup) grated apple

  • 240g (approx. 12) pitted dates

  • Cocoa powder and ground cinnamon to coat (optional)




Method:


  1. Add all ingredients except the apple and the dates to the food processor and blend for 30 seconds or until everything is well chopped. Small chunks are fine.

  2. Add apples and dates (ensure they are pitted), and pulse about 6 times or until well combined. Do not over-blend, or the mixture will become too wet.

  3. With wet hands, roll into balls around 1- 1 and 1/2 tbsp in size.

  4. Coat with cocoa powder and cinnamon for an indulgent touch.

  5. Refrigerate in an airtight container and store for up to 5 days.
